Initiatives for Improving Environmental Awareness in the Company
Environmental lectures and educational programs by outside lecturers
Since FY2019, we have continuously organized environmental lectures twice a year by inviting external experts.
The first session, held in September, featured a lecture by Ms. Kazuko Murata, a Member of the ISO 14000 Certification and Registration Review Committee, on “The Latest Trends in ISO 14000 and Our Responsibilities as a Construction Company.”
The second session, conducted in March, welcomed Ms. Yuko Iizuka, Executive Officer of Sumitomo Forestry Co., Ltd., who delivered a lecture titled “Sumitomo Forestry’s Sustainable Management — The Future of Decarbonization and Construction.”
Promotion of the Eco Test
In order to improve employees’ environmental knowledge and awareness, we aim to achieve 100% pass rate of the Certification Test for Environmental Specialists (Eco Test) established by The Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry by FY2026 for all employees. Progress through as of February in FY2025 is shown in the figure below.
