Environmental lectures and educational programs by outside lecturers

Environmental lectures by outside lecturers are held twice a year for all employees.
The first session in FY2023 focused on biodiversity and natural capital, while the second session focused on climate change. In the first session held in September, we had a lecture by Mr. Naoki Adachi, CEO of Response Ability, Director and Secretary-General of the Japan Business Initiative for Biodiversity (JBIB), on “The Role of the Construction Industry in Biodiversity and Natural Capital.” The second session, held in March 2024, featured Professor Yukari Takamura from the Institute for Future Initiatives at the University of Tokyo, who delivered a lecture on the theme, “Companies and Corporate Management in a World Moving Towards Carbon Neutrality.”
In addition, we have educated all employees about climate change mitigation and adaptation through in-house newsletters and e-learning to raise environmental awareness.

Promotion of the Eco Test

In order to improve employees’ environmental knowledge and awareness, we aim to achieve 100% pass rate of the Certification Test for Environmental Specialists (Eco Test) established by The Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry by FY2026 for all employees. Progress through as of February in FY2024 is shown in the figure below.
